Luke 22:14-23 -Christ institutes the Lord’s Supper
Christ instated the Lord’s Supper, and we see that the feast of unleavened bread and Passover served as a foreshadowing of this. And we see that the bread used when Christ established this memorial was unleavened.
Exodus 12:14-20 -The feast of unleavened bread
We see that the Lord’s Supper is instituted on the basis of Christ’s body and blood. And that this was the beginning of the new covenant.

Matthew 5:17 -Christ is the fulfillment of the law and prophets
Hebrews 8:1-13 -The new covenant is a better covenant
Matthew 26:26-30 -The blood was shed for the remission of sins
We also see that the first day of the week was the day established for us to partake of the Lord’s Supper. The first day of the week, the same day of Christ’s resurrection, is the proper time to remember Christ. And we see this contrasted with common meals, which were done often by various Christians.
